The Egg Salesman

Part 1·@mara_w

Once upon a time, a business saavy racoon decided he had enough of his run-down city life. He was eating out of trashcans, sleeping in gutters, and frankly people were quite rude to him. On a grey morning, he took his belongings and left for the countryside, determined to start a business.

After a few days of walking, he came upon a farm. A farm with some pigs, some cows, a few horses, and a pen of chicken. He decided he'd stay here for a while. As the days went on, he saw the farm owner pick up eggs from the chicken pen every morning. He seemed very happy. That's what he knew. Eggs were going to be his business.

Rooby the racoon, which was his name, went to see Plucky the Secretary and booked an appointmed with the Head Rooster, whose schedule was quite full. The next thursday at noon, they met. Rooby explained his business plan to the Head Rooster. He'd take a few eggs every day, a reasonable amount so as to not raise the farmer's suspicion. Then he'd bring them to the local town, being the city-saavy racoon that he was. There, he could get a good price for them. He'd use some of the money to buy corn, and bring it back to the Head Rooster as payment. The Head Rooster agreed.
